This past summer the kindergarten play structure at Mary Honeywell Elementary school was removed by the Ottawa Carleton District School Board because it was deemed unsafe. Their kindergarten yard now sits empty and the students do not have any equipment to enjoy. They have already started fund raising, and have recently entered the Aviva Community Fund contest to try and secure funds that way.
In fact, this project is a Semi-Finalist in the Aviva Community Fund contest and the next round of voting begins on Monday, December 5th at 12PM EST.
