OTTAWA, ON, June 6, 2011 – On Wednesday June 1st, MP Pierre Poilievre volunteered to help raise funds for the Tim Hortons Annual Camp Day.

Poilievre was at the Tim Hortons location in Greenbank Hunt Club Centre where he was serving his constituents at the drive-thru window, making coffees as well as taking orders at the cash.

“I am always happy to serve my constituents and today I was given the opportunity to do so in a different capacity,” said Poilievre. “It was wonderful to see the response of the community in supporting important initiatives such as this.”

The event helped raise money to support the Tim Hortons Children’s Foundation so that deserving kids have an opportunity to attend camp this year. The camp experience is designed to build self-confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills and provide campers with a positive view of their true potential.

While Poilievre is used to working with his constituents at his office a few blocks away, Tim Hortons Camp Day provided a fun opportunity for people to engage with their MP in a different setting.
