Greely, ON — On Sunday June 24, Pierre Poilievre, MP for Nepean-Carleton, hosted a free community BBQ at the Greely Community Centre. The BBQ was attended by over 300 people and included special guests Senator Mike Duffy, who flew from PEI to speak, and Dr. Kellie Leitch, the MP for Simcoe-Grey who also practices medicine at CHEO as a pediatric orthopedic surgeon. Also in attendance was Sekou Kaba who is competing this week to qualify to become a member of the Canadian hurdlers team at the London 2012 Olympics. “We congratulate Sekou on passing his citizenship exam with a remarkable 95% and we hope that we will all have the chance to cheer him on at the London Games this summer,” said Poilievre.
