OTTAWA—Earlier today, Pierre Poilievre, Member of Parliament for Carleton announced the 2016 Canada Summer Jobs at Watson’s Mill, located in the heart of Manotick.

Canada Summer Jobs provides funding to help employers create summer job opportunities for students. These summer jobs provide students with the experience and connections they need to become contributing professionals when they enter their job field after graduation.

“These summer jobs have many benefits to the local communities”, explained MP Poilievre. “They help students looking for temporary employment find jobs.”

A special note of gratitude goes out to Elaine Eagen from the Watson’s Mill for hosting the announcement.

The Canada Summer Jobs provides funding to non-for-profit organizations, public sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees to create summer job opportunities for young people aged 15-30 years who are full-time students intending to return to school in the following year.
